Lime Essential Oil No.015 comes from the peel of Citrus aurantifolia, India. Fresh, green lime, not sweet, not heavy.

Steam distilled from the peel. A citrus top note: it opens quickly, is light in intensity and easy to use with other scents.

Use it in a diffuser, for light massage diluted in a carrier oil, or in care for oily skin. The scent keeps you alert through long working hours.

On skin, dilute in a carrier oil to about 3 to 5% at most. Store in a dry, dark place below 25°C, tightly closed and upright. Use within 18 months of production, 6 months after opening.

Lime essential oil is a single-note essential oil extracted from the peel of Citrus aurantifolia grown in India and steam distilled; it keeps the bright, clear citrus character of tropical lime. A product of the Lê Mai Vietnam brand; 100% pure essential oil, unadulterated and not synthetic.

Scent description

A pure citrus scent, fresh and lively. It opens quickly and clearly, like a freshly split lime; not sweet, not heavy. Light in intensity, a Top Note that blends easily with floral, herbal and woody scents. It fades fast but leaves a refreshing, awakening feeling from the first moment.

Main chemical constituents

(+)-Limonene combined with 1,8-cineole (40–49%); α-Terpineol (5–13%); γ-Terpinene (9–11%); Terpinolene (8–9%); β-Pinene (2–3%); p-Cymene (1–3%); Terpinen-4-ol (0.7–2%).

100% pure essential oil; unadulterated; not synthetic. Quality tested by GC-MS (gas chromatography–mass spectrometry). No preservatives; no synthetic fragrance.

How to use

Diffusing: 3-5 drops in a diffuser for 30-60 minutes. Massage: mix 2-3 drops with 10ml carrier oil (1-3%). Bath: mix 4-6 drops with bath salts before adding to the tub. Skin care: dilute to a maximum of 3-5% in a carrier oil; never apply undiluted to the skin. Can be combined with Lavender, Rosemary, Peppermint or wood oils for a balanced blend.

Safety notes

For external use only; do not ingest. Dilute before skin contact; avoid the eyes and mucous membranes. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. Safe for children aged 6 and over when diluted to the correct concentration. Being steam distilled, it is not photosensitizing and is safe to use during the day. Stop use if signs of skin irritation appear.

Storage instructions

Shelf life: 18 months from the date of manufacture; 6 months after opening (as a Citrus oil, it oxidizes faster than other essential oils, so use it soon after opening). Store in a dry, dark place below 25°C. Avoid direct sunlight and high heat. Close the cap tightly after use and keep the bottle upright.
