A sprig of lemon leaf, lightly crushed, laid on a plate of boiled chicken. A few leaves cut into threads over a bowl of bún bò. The smell of cooking at home.
Steam distilled essential oil from fresh leaves of Citrus limon grown in Vietnam. Green and grassy, quite different from oil taken from the peel. Not heavy, not sharply sour; fresh and clean.
A middle note: it spreads fast and clear, then settles into a warm green layer. For the home, the study, or in a blend with lavender, peppermint and lemongrass.
