Mandarin essential oil, Citrus reticulata Blanco, No.059. Steam distilled from the outer peel of mandarins grown in India. A top note, citrus, of fairly strong intensity.

It opens fresh, like a ripe mandarin just peeled, then turns gently warm and sweet. Pairs well with lavender, jasmine, peppermint, rosemary.

Diffuse to lift the mood and aid focus. Dilute in a carrier oil to massage the head and neck. Suitable for children from 2 years when diluted to 1% or less.

Store in a cool, airy place below 25°C. Shelf life 18 months from manufacture, 6 months after opening.

How to use

Diffusing: add 3–5 drops to a diffuser and diffuse for 30–60 minutes for a fresh, relaxing space. Suited to living rooms, bedrooms and offices.
Skin application: dilute before skin contact. Recommended ratio: 1–2% in 30ml carrier oil (6–12 drops). Suitable for face and body massage and skincare products.
Relaxing bath: add 3–5 drops to a spoonful of shower cream or carrier oil, then mix into a warm bath. Do not drop essential oil directly into the water.
Direct inhalation: place 1–2 drops in your palms, rub gently and breathe deeply for a quick mood lift or instant stress relief.

Safety notes

Maximum 5% dilute before applying to skin (about 30 drops in 30ml carrier oil). Do not apply undiluted essential oil to the skin. Patch test on the inner wrist for 24 hours before first use. Avoid eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds.

Phototoxicity: NOT phototoxic: steam distilled, safe to use during the day.

Safe for children from 6 years when diluted to a maximum of 1%. Do not use on children under 2. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use.

Storage instructions

Shelf life: 18 months from the date of manufacture; 6 months after opening.

Store in a dry, dark place below 25°C. Avoid direct sunlight and high heat. Close the cap tightly after use and keep the bottle upright. Citrus essential oils oxidize easily after opening, so use regularly to keep their quality.
