Orris Essential Oil No.127 comes from the rhizomes of Iris pallida grown in France. Powdery, deep, classic floral.

The rhizomes are aged at least three years before solvent extraction, so that the irone, the compound behind the powdery scent, fully matures. Pure and unadulterated.

Orris is a familiar note in French perfumery.

Orris Essential Oil (Orris Absolute) is a premium single note essential oil from the brand Lê Mai Vietnam, solvent extracted (Solvent Extracted Absolute) from the rhizomes of Iris pallida grown in France. How to use

Diffusing (Aromatherapy): add 2–4 drops to a diffuser or oil burner; use for 20–30 minutes at a time. Orris is very long-lasting and intense; a little goes a long way.
Blending: used at very low concentrations, usually 0.1–1% in perfume formulas or blends. A single drop of Orris can completely transform a floral blend.
Diluted on skin (Topical): maximum concentration 0.01% equivalent to about 1 drop trong 500ml carrier oil. Not recommended for everyday skin use; for professional perfumers only.

Safety notes

Orris Absolute has a very low skin safety threshold: maximum 0.01% for skin application (about 1 drop trong 500ml carrier oil). Never apply undiluted essential oil to skin. Patch test carefully before first use. Avoid eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds.

Not for use on children. Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. This is a premium extract; only for healthy adults with no history of iris allergy.

Storage instructions

Shelf life: 36 months from the date of manufacture; 12 months after opening.

Store in a dry, dark place below 25°C. Avoid direct sunlight and high heat. Close the cap tightly after use and keep the bottle upright. Orris Absolute may thicken at low temperatures; stand the cap in warm water to loosen it again, never heat it directly.
