Smilax Aspera Essential Oil is a premium single-note essential oil from Lê Mai Vietnam, steam distilled from the roots of Smilax aspera grown in Vietnam. A deep herbal scent with the depth of traditional medicinal herbs; evoking purification, balance and peace.

How to use

Diffusing (Aromatherapy): add 3 to 6 drops to a diffuser or oil burner; use for 30 to 60 minutes at a time, 2 to 3 times/day.
Diluted on skin (Topical): minimum dilution 1% with a carrier oil (jojoba, almond, coconut); about 6 drops EO in 30ml carrier oil. For massage, skincare, or apply to the wrists and temples.
Relaxing bath (Bath): mix 5 to 8 drops with a spoonful of whole milk or Epsom salt, then add to a warm bath.
Massage support: dilute in carrier oil and massage gently where needed; ideal for relaxing neck, shoulder and back massage.

Safety notes

Dilute to at least 1% for skin application (about 6 drops in 30ml carrier oil). As there is not yet enough specific clinical data on Smilax Aspera essential oil, start at the lowest concentration and consult an expert before increasing the dose. Do not apply the undiluted essential oil to the skin. Patch test before first use: dilute; apply a dot behind the ear or on the wrist; wait 24 hours. Avoid eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult a doctor or specialist before use. Not recommended for children under 6 without professional advice.

People taking hormonal medication or drugs that affect hormones: consult a doctor before use; the saponins in Smilax aspera may interact with some medications.

Storage instructions

Shelf life: 36 months from the date of manufacture; 12 months after opening.

Store in a dry, dark place below 25°C. Avoid direct sunlight and high heat. Close the cap tightly after use and keep the bottle upright.
