Blend #106 is an essential oil from the brand Lê Mai Vietnam, with Northwest star anise forest scent high mountain morning mist with warm, spicy star anise and deep ancient pơ mu wood, evoking a highland village at first light. Hand blended in balance across Top, Middle and Base: it opens sweet and spicy to clear the sinuses, warms the heart, and ends on a base of deep wood and earthy patchouli.

Top, a sweet-spicy opening:

Star anise , spicy-sweet anethole of the eight-pointed star, with a warm, distinctly Eastern character
Eucalyptus, 1,8-cineole, cool and clearing for the lungs, purifies the air, medicinal

Middle, a camphor heart:

Rosemary — cool camphor, refreshes the mind, clears the sinuses

Base, deep Northwest woods:

Cedarwood : warm dry wood, calm, balsamic woody
Peimou wood — ancient trees of Northwest Vietnam, the deep signature of mountain forests
Patchouli patchoulol, sweet and earthy, a classic fixative, long-lasting

How to use

Diffusing (Aromatherapy): add 4–8 drops to a diffuser or oil burner; use for 30–60 minutes at a time, 2–3 times a day in a well-ventilated space.
Diluted on skin (Topical): max dilution 1% with a carrier oil (jojoba, almond, coconut), equivalent to 6 drops blend in 30ml carrier oil. Massage the neck, shoulders, temples and soles of the feet to relax.
Relaxing bath (Bath): mix 5–8 drops with a spoonful of whole milk or Epsom salt, then add to a warm bath.
Candles and soap blending: use 2–4% of the blend in candle wax or soap base to create a grounding signature scent.

Safety notes

Maximum 1% dilute before applying to skin (about 6 drops in 30ml of carrier oil). Do not apply undiluted. Patch test on the inner wrist for 48 hours before first use (contains star anise anethole). Avoid eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women DO NOT use (Star anise anethole is a phytoestrogen + Rosemary camphor). People with epilepsy DO NOT use (Star anise + Rosemary camphor). Safe for children from 6 years at a maximum dilution of 0.5%. Children under 6 years: DO NOT use (Star anise + Eucalyptus + Rosemary camphor/1,8-cineole/anethole, risk of laryngeal spasm and neurotoxicity). Use with caution if you have high blood pressure (Rosemary). Keep out of reach of children.

Storage instructions

Shelf life: 24 months from the date of manufacture; 9 months after opening.

Store in a dry, dark place below 25°C. Avoid direct sunlight and high heat. Close the cap tightly after use and keep the bottle upright.
